It looks like the outfits from Anne of Green Gables...the movie that I incidentally watched tonight. I like it a lot! I've always loved historical fashions...but I will admit women's historical fashions often look extremely uncomfortable. :)
tinydancer, it's a play written by a few of my friends [the infamous Dallan and Eva, haha] and myself. Entitled "Two Tophats and a Spy". Great fun, I shall post more info later :)
Gwyn, oh, haha, as to the shoes, I was wondering if I should get some white or tan ones for the performance--what say?
Thanks Evergreena!
Danzibar, I love that movie!!!! [Haven't watched it in way too lng, but still...] Yes, some historical fashions are the very dickens to wear. I imagine corsets must have been rather ghastly. A lot of medieval and peasant-Colonial stuff is pretty comfortable once you get use to it.
Olive Tree, yes, that's what I was thinking. We're trying to get hold of some trench-coats and fedoras for the boys, to give the proper 30's feel. I just had a bad thought, tho! I'm supposed to be swing-dancing in this get-up! Which can involve some fancy floor-work [where the guy and girl spin, then the girl drops to the floor and spins on her hip]. Great. And Thank You!!! :) :)
Oh! Thank you Lauren Anne!!! I'm glad to know I'm not alone, the A vs E-ers seem mostly Arwen fans. Did my last comment finally get published, I wonder. thanks for letting me know! :)

love it! what play are you preforming?
It looks mid-to late 30's to me. Just before shoulder pads of the 40's and maybe a bit after puffed sleeves? The shoes are classic! :D
It looks great! I like it a lot.

definitely adore the dress! very late 30's.
thanks dear! I've got a green one in the same style, we'll have to see if we can put it on one of the extras, with adaptations.
