I am a Christian homeschooled highschool senior, and until finding your blog a while ago was ignorant about exactly how common patriocentricity was today. I hope that God returns to you the peace that you deserve and briefly had...that mindset should not have such power over your life. I understand the horror that comes with the thought of losing your faith. Mine was in tatters a couple years back because of my hatred of the church I once attended and everything it stood for in my life; hypocrisy, deceit, manipulation, my earthly father… I almost lost my life because of my self-hatred. God spared me, thankfully, and I've been slowly growing toward Him again. Anyway, thank you for sharing your struggles with this, and I truly wish you the best,
~Elizabeth~Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02622529052150223699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7329461720467130079.post-53577224738759632482010-09-28T17:30:31.445-07:002010-09-28T17:30:31.445-07:00I may not be Christian or know these Botkin Sister...I may not be Christian or know these Botkin Sisters, Bethie, but I know an extraordinary letter when I see it.

I hope that they read this. I can relate to how hard it is to separate oneself from the demands of the patriocentric movement, probably because it is one cliff off of which one might fall from the truth, and the truth so often seems to be a razors edge. I've prayed that God will help you find your joy in him and your calling in practical, small acts of obedience to his Word and nothing and no one else.

"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us." -Romans 8:18

"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." -Romans 8:28

"For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." -Romans 8:38-39

"No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." -I Corinthians 10:13Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02239333147994966983noreply@blogger.com
